The Melendez family started Waterworld 16 years ago from a pot in their kitchen, then to a friend's garage and now with a custom built crab processing building in Heritage Park in Bucksport, Maine. The Seekins family bought Waterworld, renaming their business Waterworld II.
Under new ownership Waterworld II is committed to supporting the backbone of their business, Maine Fishermen! With extensive experience in the crab business the Seekins family have big plans for their new venture. They are committed to providing the best quality, the most affordable wholesale prices, the cleanest environment, and the friendliest service on the coast of Maine.
Waterworld II crabs show up on the menus of high-end restaurants all over the country, including the Bellagio hotel and casino in Las Vegas.
The crabmeat is also likely to end up on local dinner plates as Seekins encourages people to walk in and take advantage of her wholesale prices.
